
Emily Cassidy
Science Communications Coordinator
Emily Cassidy is the Science Communications Coordinator at the National Socio-Environmental Synthesis Center (SESYNC). Prior to joining SESYNC, she was a research analyst at Environmental Working Group in Washington, D.C., where her research focused on the environmental impact of food production. Emily earned her master’s and bachelor degrees in natural resources science from the University of Minnesota. She has co-authored several peer-reviewed studies on global agriculture, including the highly cited paper, “Solutions for a Cultivated Planet,” which investigated how to sustainably feed 9 billion people.
